A Spanish Accent

As I am celebrating  my Dear Husband’s birthday,  you can imagine that he deserves my whole attention. (Not that I don’t care for you, kind readers…) So I am posting a short but incredible recipe.

Helado de Turrón

Turron’s Ice Cream

You need :

Half a gallon  of your favorite vanilla ice cream

1 7oz (200 gr. aprox.) package of Spanish turrón…(I already made a search for you, you can use this or this, or any other similar options that I am sure you can find at a nice grocery store)

1 blender or food processor

1 freezer

Yes, it is very simple yet delicious!

Blend the ice- cream with the turrón and put it back in the freezer for about 3 hours before serving it!

But what is turrón?

Turrón is a typical sweet loved by Spaniards; it is made of almonds, honey and eggs- Do you want to read more about it? I found some reliable information here and here.

Dare to try it..I promise you will love it!
